This trailhead is located 1 1/2 miles south of Medora on the east river road, then west 1/2 a mile, in Rough Rider State Park. Because this trailhead is within Rough Rider State Park, parking at the trailhead will cost $5.00 per day or an annual permit is $25. The Maah Daah Hey Trail goes north and south from here.
